Abandonment and abuse are crimes often suffered by older adults. In the Citizen Council our commitment is put in support and safeguard your dignity. All reports that reach the Silver Line and the Chat of Confidence 55 5533 5533 are channeled to the Sibiso, with which we have an agreement, so that each loss has access to security, health tools and links with specialized institutions.
WE OFFER ATTENTION TO ELDERLY VICTIMS OF CRIME
We want older adults to be empowered, to know that they have rights and they should be respected. We work to provide older adults with the necessary tools to have a dignified and violence-free life.
From January to August 2019, we received 348 reports of older adults who have suffered some type of violence.
Most of the people who report are women with 69 percent, the rest are men.
