CANIRAC AND CITIZEN COUNCIL CREATE FRONT AGAINST EXTORTION AND HARASSMENT OF WOMEN

•  We spead the No + XT application in the almost 50 thousand establishments affiliated with Canirac

In 2018 there were 5.7 million extortion attempts nationwide according to data from ENVIPE 2019. Given this problem, the National Chamber of the Restaurant of Food and Spiced Food (CANIRAC) and the Citizen Council for Security and Justice of the City of Mexico will promote a front to combat extortion.
 
They will work in a coordinated manner, also, to eradicate harassment of women and discrimination against people of the LGBTTTIQ community, through the “Double Diana Program” program that promotes a safe return home.
 
Francisco Fernández Alonso, national president of CANIRAC, and Salvador Guerrero Cyprus, president of the Citizen Council, signed a collaboration agreement whereby businessmen will disseminate the application No + extortion, the Security Line of the Council, the Chat of Trust 55 5533 -5533, as well as measures to prevent various illicit activities, among its members and clients.
 
"We heeded the call of the Council, which is that of citizens, to combat extortion, so we committed ourselves to implementing actions to eradicate this crime," said Fernández Alonso.
 
Marco Antonio Buendía González, president of CANIRAC in Mexico City, said during the signing that this opportunity for collaboration will have good results, both for members and for clients.
 
“The leadership of the Chamber is fundamental to the work carried out by the Council, since 92 percent of extortion is preventable if citizens know how to act,” said Guerrero Chiprés
 

Said business dome has a presence in 80 delegations, distributed throughout the national territory; in Mexico City, it groups just over 50 thousand establishments.
 
Members of CANIRAC offer daily service to 15 million people who eat outside their homes.
 
Likewise, the collaboration contemplates the design of an action protocol so that the owners of establishments know what to do in the face of a criminal act, and thus help, better, the investigation processes
