Throughout the year, we have received 350 reports against “beer vendors”, out of which 50 percent are located at the Iztapalapa, Gustavo A. Madero and Alvaro Obregón mayoralties.
The Citizen Council for Safety and Justice in Mexico City invited citizens to celebrate the Independence Day Celebration in an environment of safety and responsibility. It particularly asked young people not to put their families at risk by organizing meetings and to respect the opening hours that were established for restaurants and bars.
Salvador Guerrero Chipres, President of the Citizen Council, informed that, throughout the year, they’ve received 350 reports of “beer vendors” and irregular establishments that sell alcohol, mainly at the mayoralties of Iztapalapa, Gustavo A. Madero and Alvaro Obregon from which 50% of the calls were made.
He reminded that the Citizen Council has a Safety Line and Trustworthy Chat 55 5533 5533 where people can report alcohol vendors in forbidden places where they also find weapons and drugs, or even denounce establishment or places where they have massive parties.
The Council works together with the C5 and the Social Procurement Office in Mexico City (Prosoc) so, when denouncing something like this, the Council can act immediately. Finally, he invited the population to team-up and honor the heroes we owe prevention to: responsible citizens and vigilant authorities.
