In a press conference, Salvador Guerrero Chipres, president of the Citizen Council, established that, as of today, through the Safety Line and the Trustworthy Chat, the citizens will have a bridge that connects them with authorities. They may also report discourtesy, lack of human quality, discrimination or the fact that the public servants at the Public Ministry discourage placing the report.

Complaints that reach the Safety Line will be integrated in a report that will be shared as reference and counter-reference with authorities of the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office (PGJCDMX) and the Head of Government to improve the quality in the reported elements.

“There’s a historic chance to improve the services and we must take it; Mexico City must become a national example in attention quality offered by public servants and in order to achieve this, citizens are our best allies,” he added.

There are 78 Attorney General’s Offices in Mexico City, distributed among mayoralties, including specialized agencies.

Among its attributions, the Citizen Council is in charge of overlooking and assessing the public servants’ performance as well as that of Safety corporations, while also supervising a good attention service for citizens.

Meanwhile, the Attorney’s Office is in charge of offering attention to victims of crimes without any conditions, while offering a good, respectful, professional and human treatment.

Also, they must perform their duties without asking for or accepting any compensations, payments or gratifications.

The Safety Line and Trustworthy chat take reports and offer free legal and psychological services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
