We are there for those who are there for us and we donated over 73 thousand sanitary products to the police in order to protect officers from COVID-19.
Within the framework of the “New Normality” and following the traffic-light sanitary monitoring system created after COVID-19, the Citizen Council for Safety and Justice donated facemasks and face shields to the Citizen Safety Ministry (SSC) in Mexico City, as the first police elements who are in touch with citizens.
During a ceremony hosted by the President Council, Salvador Guerrero Chipres PhD and the Sub Secretary of Citizen Participation and Crime Prevention, Pablo Vazquez Camacho, they handed out 700 face shields and 300 facemasks.
This donation was made as a sign of gratitude for the work the police officers of the SSC have carried out in Mexico City during the sanitary emergency due to COVID-19.
The President Council pointed out that this is a reflection of the conviction businessmen, activists, lawyers, teachers and journalists who participate in the Council and the support they give to “exercise authority and strengthen the State of Right.”
He pointed out that “now that we are facing a situation that has forced the continued domestic confinement and that causes a double risk for members of the police force.”
Meanwhile, the Chief Police Officer in the area thanked this donation as well as the support uniformed officers have received, and he established that they’ll continue to work to prevent the spreading of the virus while also working on prevention and safety.
This donation is added to the efforts made by the Citizen Safety Ministry to reinforce sanitary measures and prevent the propagation of the virus among officers in order to maintain their actions in favor of citizens.
The Citizen Council has donated over 73 thousand supplies including face shields, antibacterial gel containers, infrared thermometers, N95 facemasks and gloves so that police officers in Mexico City can carry out their labor safely
