Within the framework of the International Day of Older Persons, Salvador Guerrero Chiprés, President of the organism, highlighted the community’s power to fight against this part of the population’s vulnerability.
In order to promote a message of collaboration, solidarity and the construction of a sense of community, the chief executive of the Mexican Postal Service, Rocío Bárcena Molina, and the president of the Citizen Council for Safety and Justice in Mexico City, Salvador Guerrero Chiprés participated in the citizen organism’s Cancellation of the Stamp.
Within the framework of the International Day of Older Persons, both agreed that the Stamp represents the Council’s values of articulation, diversity, unity and support for all regardless of age and gender.
“The stamp represents the Citizen Council’s essence, which makes visible the collaboration and unity of a group of people of all ages who hold each other’s hands as a symbol of support, key and equal action for the development of society,” Bárcena Molina said.
During the ceremony, Guerrero Chiprés pointed out that the community must help fight against psychological and legal vulnerabilities, especially those of women and older women who face violence within the family.
“The Council works in favor of the rights of three generations of women. Today we come together to promote the conception of a law and leadership against violence,” he commented.
Bárcena Molina highlighted how important it is for citizens to have this type of counseling for the construction of safe environments.
The image of the Stamp, which will be in use starting this Friday, and that will reach 191 countries, is a symbol of the commitment to help everyone.
The general director of the Sepomex emphasized how relevant it is to receive counseling in due time, as it is offered by the Citizen Council through the Safety Line or Trustworthy Chat 55 5533 5533, 24/7 all throughout the country.
