CRIMINAL INCIDENTS DECREASE IN MIGUEL HIDALGO

We signed an agreement with the Miguel Hidalgo mayoralty in order to prevent crime and promote a civic culture apart from offering free legal and psychological services.

Salvador Guerrero Chipres, President of the Citizen Council for Safety and Justice in Mexico City and the mayor of Miguel Hidalgo, Victor Hugo Romo de Vivar Guerra, signed a collaboration agreement in order to carry out joint activities meant to prevent crime, promote a gender perspective and citizen safety.

Salvador Guerrero explained that the Citizen Council has the mission of contributing with creating conditions of safety, cluelessness and certitude for the citizens.

He assured that high impact crimes at the Miguel Hidalgo mayoralty decreased by 47% from January to August, in comparison with last year, according to data from the SayYes report that the Council publishes every month.

This action is a response to the good capacity of concentration of the safety personnel at Miguel Hidalgo who are in charge of confronting the situation and decreasing crime.

At the same time, Romo Guerra pointed out that this agreement is meant to contribute with the recovery of safety through coercion, training, procurement of justice, and crime prevention, apart from perfecting public policies the mayoralty has.

He established that the 8 thousand employers of the mayoralty will join this project and that they will be trained in terms of crime prevention, violence and addiction prevention, so that they multiply all that they learn in there and continue to fight against crime.

Finally, he clarified that the mayoralty he runs is one of the 3 with the highest reductions of crime indecency in Mexico City.
