WE START COLLABORATION WITH SIN FRONTERAS IN FAVOR OF MIGRANTS
We join forces to attend, prevent and combat Human Trafficking and we unite to generate strategies to serve the vulnerable migrant population
In order to prevent the migrant population from being a victim of Trafficking in Persons and other crimes, the Citizen Council for Security and Justice of Mexico City signed a collaboration agreement with the civil organization Sin Fronteras that works in the promotion, protection and defense of the human rights of migrants.

During the signing of the agreement, Salvador Guerrero Cyprus, president of the Citizen Council, stressed that the attention to migrants must be comprehensive and transversal, since it is a population exposed to a large number of crimes.

“It is not only about attending to external migrants, but also of the people who leave them in their place of origin and moved to work in another city, as is the case of the more than 7 million day laborers in Mexico. They are identified as crimes of trafficking in persons, but they are also exposed to situations that have to do with drug trafficking, ”said Guerrero Chiprés.

Ana Mercedes Saiz Valenzuela, general director of Sin Fronteras, said that this agreement will have the right for migrants to have better access to justice through the support provided by legal and psychological advisors.

The agreement includes the integration of the Citizen Council Service Line in the application Without Borders; as well as training for staff of both organizations.
