Our coordination with the General Attorney’s Office and its presiding judge Ernestina Godoy, has been fundamental for citizen attention, the fight against corruption and crime prevention.
The head of the General Attorney’s office in Mexico City, Ernestina Godoy Ramos, pointed out that said collaboration is very fruitful for the Attorney’s Office because it allows to have an agile, modern and professional link with the citizens in order to offer them a quality, emphatic service that is free of corruption and to allow people who ask the FGJCDMX for help to feel calm.
“The Council receives denunciations, complaints and comments in a very agile way, and then when we are informed, we take measures,” Ernestina Godoy established while informing that this is one of the many activities they carry out with the civil organization led by Salvador Guerrero Chipres.
“There is hard work against gender-based violence, access to justice for girls, boys and teenagers and all of this is reflected in the liaisons established, especially, with Specialized Offices dedicated to Trafficking, Sex Crimes and Crimes against BGT,” Guerrero Chipres declared.
In terms of human trafficking, the Office highlighted the joint work the Council and the Office have made to save lives and victims of this crime, and also to offer them justice. Meanwhile, the campaign both institutions promote against mistreatment and corruptions through the Public Ministry has also been very important because it has revealed information about what happens in social representations and that the Office is unaware of.
On the other hand, she thanked the participation of citizens in the Council, since they are socially committed with support activities in favor of the Office, including donations and visits to the Temporary Residency for Boys and Girls so that minors have better conditions and so that their rights are enforced.
Also, she applauded the Citizen Council for the support they received during the pandemic due to COVID-19 so that they could buy protective equipment such as facemasks in order to continue to procure justice.
Finally, Godoy Ramos concluded that signing this agreement enforces the commitment of the institution she leads to work together with the civil society.
While signing the agreement, Laura Angeles Gomez, General Coordinator of the Administration; Jesus Omar Sanchez Sanchez, General Legal and Human Rights Coordinator; and Graciano Cruz Soriano, Treasurer of the Citizen Council were also present as representatives of the FGJCDMX.
